Natale-Behind the Scenes

Oct 23, 2014 9:59:47 AM

Being at a photo shoot can be somewhat magical.  What the scene really looks like isn't what you see in the final shot.  I can only imagine what goes on behind the scenes with really big companies.  Anyway, I thought you would enjoy a before and after, because everyone loves a before and after, right?

We decided to take a "winter" shot of our Natale Collection.  You have seen our current one HERE and in Traditional Home Magazine HERE.  But since the collection continues to grow we wanted to show its versatility.  So we did some research and we were inspired by this beautiful winter/rustic wedding on Elizabethannedesigns.com.  However finding greenery, even in NY, can be a challenge in October, so we improvised.

Before

Yes, that is a topiary tree on the floor.

After

Spot anything else new?  That is our Finezza Green Holiday Charger that will be available Holiday 2015.  Another great piece to look forward to!

Set your own winter table by using our Style Your Table application!

Our Month of Natale Continues!

Oct 23, 2014 9:22:40 AM

If you follow us on Instagram you already know that this month we had a photo shoot in a beautiful NY apartment.  We are so lucky to have a stunning backdrop where we can capture the beauty of our products.  For this photo shoot we were shooting new products for our 2015 Catalog.  This catalog is sent to all Arte Italica dealers and will live HERE on our website onced completed (you can see 2014 now).

As promised, we wanted to give you a sneak peak of Natale items that will be available for Holiday 2015.

Here is our new Footed Bowl being created in the Italian factory.

It is so amazing to see the talents of these artisans.

And here is the final piece.

We imagine this used in so many ways, a centerpiece for a table with fruit, a triffle dish, or maybe a bowl that holds all your holiday cards.

Whatever you decide to do we know it will be fabulous!

Speaking of fabulous, if you are a fan of our Medici Collection you have seen this piece, our Oval Bowl with Rope Handles.  It looks amazing in the Natale pattern.

We hope that you have enjoyed this sneak peak and just so you know this is only 2 of 6 new pieces for the Natale Collection.

See the current collection HERE and start your collection today!

Spotlight on Southern Season

Oct 6, 2014 10:35:18 AM

Southern Season

Southern Season is a true success story.  Started in 1975 by Michael Barefoot, Southern Season has grown tremendously!  Originally named A Southern Season, was opened by Mr Barefoot it was a small coffee roastery. The business continued to grow and began to offer specialty grocery, wine, cookware and housewares.  They adapted a weathervane logo, a rooster with all points facing South and opened a restaurant (The Weathervane.)

By 2003 A Southern Season had moved into a 59,000 square foot space, making it the largest specialty-only gourmet market in the US!  In addition they opened a cooking school with appearances by local and national chefs.

Today they have dropped the "A" and in 2013 opened their second location in Mt. Pleasant, SC and just this year a third location in Richmond, VA.

Just recently our NC rep and I visited the Chapel Hill location to do a training for the staff.

They had a beautiful fall table set with our Tuscan Dinnerware and Animale Pilsners.  I love how they set their feature tables, showcasing products throughout the store.  Here they have pastas, olives and specialty beer, perfect with our Animale glasses.

And who could miss the bottle of Dom Perignon under the glass dome!

The back wall showcasing all of our BEST collections!

Check them out online or visit them at one of their locations.  It is truly a store you need to see!
